Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with soul, gospel music and R&B. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, Sunshine has performed everywhere. Sunshine's given the name of Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta the place she was raised is Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical path began at church where she sang and performed piano. In Atlanta, she attended Spellman College where her musical training began on Atlanta's R&B Scene. The first track to showcase her voice was Stalk You, a Japanese house 12 song. It was remixed and has become a component of her repertoire. Additionally, she was a part of The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. In 2005 she was hired as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning performer) approached her for a position as director of the choral section of Dreamgirls in Atlanta in the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally during her four daily performances in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform at President Barack Obama's inaugural in 2009.
